Roblox plans to release some of its top games as their own apps in the first half of 2027. The company gave the target in its October 29 letter to shareholders. These releases would be the first phase of Roblox Everywhere.

These apps would still use Roblox services, such as its economy, friends system and safety tools. Creators could offer them through other app stores.

GamesBeat reports that a later phase would let creators make a separate app file in Roblox's creator portal. They could then send it to the store they choose. That report gives no date for this phase.

Roblox's September 11 announcement set out plans for separate apps on mobile, PC and consoles. That post did not give a date for games to launch as their own apps. It said Roblox would supply the technology and services behind them.

The September post gave separate targets for other ways to play. It said browser play would start with Chrome by the end of 2026. Its mid-2027 target applied to offline solo play. Those are separate features from publishing a game as its own app.

Roblox has a separate goal called Universal Player. The company wants to use AI to bring existing console, PC and mobile games into Roblox. The letter sets no date for this goal. It does not show that any given outside game works on Roblox today.
