Factual errors

We check reported errors against the article and its sources. When an important factual claim is wrong, we correct it and add a note explaining the change.

New information

A later announcement or result may need an update or a follow-up story. We label important additions so readers can tell what was known at the time and what changed later.

Dates and small edits

We do not change a publication date to make an old story appear new. Small spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a correction note.
