Frosthaven now lets players soften two of its most extreme attack draws. The digital game’s November 4 patch adds an optional rule that replaces x0 and x2 attack modifiers with -2 and +2.
That changes whether damage is multiplied or adjusted by a flat amount. The rule, called Reduced Randomness, also affects Bless and Curse. Players can turn it on through the new House Rules option in settings.
Another house rule lets a hero spend gold to reset their card choices. Players can then pick different cards, giving them a way to change those choices on an existing character.
Class access has a separate condition. An option at the start of a new campaign can unlock all classes that have already been unlocked in the Codex. It gives returning players access to those classes from the outset.
The patch also adds cheaper, temporary card enhancements. Those upgrades stay with the current character and do not carry over to future ones.
House Rules had been planned for last month’s 1.0 launch. Snapshot Games said on October 23 that the feature had missed release, with bug fixes taking priority. The studio hoped to add it by the end of November at the latest.
Solo players can also load a save from the victory or defeat screen with this patch. Snapshot lists fixes for multiplayer desyncs and several crashes in the same update.
