Toukana Interactive, the studio behind Dorfromantik, has launched its first Indie Treasures Sale on Steam. The event runs from November 1 to 15, with more than 200 studios taking part, according to the organizer’s announcement.
PEAK, Mini Motorways and Don’t Starve Together are among the games Toukana names. The event also includes smaller projects from newer teams, giving them space alongside games that already have a following.
Some come from HTW Berlin, the university where Dorfromantik began in 2020. Toukana highlights WATERFUL, a puzzle game, Cards & Cannons, a tower defense game, and the deckbuilding adventure Deck of Memories.
Toukana says it chose early November to give smaller games attention while players wait for the next GTA. The studio wants to give indie games a regular place on the calendar. Its marketing lead Franziska Horn described this first sale as a test for the format in GamesWirtschaft’s October 26 report. Any future events would depend on how that test develops.
Toukana is taking part with its own games too. Its announcement lists a 35% discount on Dorfromantik. Star Birds, its factory-building game made with kurzgesagt, is also included. Toukana says Star Birds will keep its Early Access price until the end of 2026, ahead of its full release.
